Find your place in the field

Different responsibilities.
One connected operation.

Every role contributes to the same result: a safe, productive operation and a structure built correctly. Select a position to see where its accountability begins.

01Superintendents

Lead the project’s field execution. Superintendents plan manpower and sequencing, coordinate with the GC and project team, manage Meier crews and subcontracted scopes, and remain accountable for safety, quality, production, schedule and the completed structure.

02Foremen

Lead daily concrete operations. Foremen translate the project plan into crew assignments, coordinate materials, equipment and subcontractor interfaces, monitor production and make sure the work is built safely and correctly.

03Crew Leads

Take ownership of a defined operation and a small field team. Crew leads organize tasks, communicate the plan, teach less-experienced employees and help the foreman maintain production and quality.

04Formwork Carpenters

Build, set, modify and strip forming systems for foundations, walls, columns, beams, decks and slab edges. Carpenters work from dimensions, elevations and layout to create the structure shown in the plans.

05Concrete Laborers

Support formwork, concrete placement, stripping, material handling and jobsite logistics while developing the skills needed to become a dependable structural-concrete craft professional.

How you grow

Opportunity follows contribution.

  1. Laborer or Carpenter
  2. Skilled Craft Professional
  3. Crew Lead
  4. Foreman
  5. Superintendent

Advancement is earned through dependability, safety, craft knowledge, production, communication and the ability to lead others. Progress depends on demonstrated readiness, available opportunity and the needs of the business.

The Meier Way in the field

Values only matter
when they shape the work.

01

Own It

Take responsibility for the assignment, communicate problems early and follow through.

02

Craft with Pride

Build work you are willing to put your name on.

03

Do the Right Thing

Follow the plan, safety requirements and company standards—even when pressure makes shortcuts tempting.

04

Respect Everyone

Treat coworkers, other trades, clients and the surrounding community professionally.

05

Team First

Help the crew and project succeed instead of protecting only your individual task or ego.

What earns trust here

The work speaks.
So does the way you do it.

01

Dependability

Show up prepared, communicate early and be someone the crew can count on.

02

Safety

Plan the work, recognize changing conditions and protect everyone affected by the operation.

03

Craft

Develop concrete and formwork knowledge, plan-reading ability, layout skills and pride in the finished structure.

04

Production

Understand the sequence, organize the work and help the crew deliver quality at the pace the project requires.

05

Leadership

Teach others, own the result and build trust through clear direction and consistent follow-through.

Built around field execution

The crew is not working alone.

Field teams are supported by assigned project management, project engineering, preconstruction and VDC resources. The objective is straightforward: give the field clear information, resolve constraints and keep decisions connected to the work being installed.
