Meier Concrete, Inc. (“Meier,” “we,” “our” or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect and retain information when you visit our website, contact an office, submit project information or express interest in working with us.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact and professional information: name, company, role, email address and telephone number.
- Project and business information: project name, location, scope, schedule, bid dates, messages and controlled-access links you choose to provide.
- Employment information: qualifications, work history and other information you provide when contacting us about field opportunities.
- Website and device information: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, referring page, approximate location derived from an IP address, timestamps and security or diagnostic logs.
- Communications: information contained in emails, telephone calls and other business correspondence.
We collect this information directly from you, automatically through the website and its hosting infrastructure, or from companies and project partners with whom you work.
How we use information
We use information to evaluate bid opportunities; prepare estimates and proposals; respond to inquiries; coordinate projects, scheduling and business communications; evaluate employment interest; operate, secure and improve the website; understand aggregate site use; maintain business records; and comply with legal, contractual and safety obligations.
AI-assisted tools and applicant review
Meier uses artificial-intelligence-assisted tools and service providers to support drafting, summarization, analysis, estimating, coordination, website and process improvement, and other business operations. Information provided to Meier may be processed through these tools when reasonably relevant to the task.
Meier may also use AI-assisted tools to organize, compare, evaluate or rank applicant information against role-related qualifications and project needs. These tools support—not replace—human review. Meier personnel remain responsible for hiring decisions, and Meier does not authorize employment decisions based on protected characteristics. Applicant and automated-review records are retained in accordance with the retention section below.
Meier does not sell information processed through AI tools or provide it to third parties for their independent marketing. AI providers process information under the applicable account settings, contractual terms and security controls. As with other technology providers, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
How information is disclosed
Meier does not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information to authorized personnel and contractors; general contractors, owners, design professionals and other project participants when reasonably necessary for the requested work; and service providers that support our hosting, security, communications and operations. These providers may include Microsoft 365, Autodesk Construction Cloud and the provider hosting this website. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction.
Cookies and website analytics
This website presently uses only technologies reasonably necessary to deliver, secure and maintain the site, remember a visitor’s privacy-notice preference and generate operational logs. Meier does not use advertising cookies or website information for targeted advertising. Optional analytics will not be activated without updating this notice and providing any choice required by applicable law.
Browser controls may block or delete stored information, but restricting necessary technologies can affect site operation. Because Meier does not sell or share website information for behavioral advertising, the site does not presently offer a “Do Not Sell or Share” control.
Project links and sensitive information
Do not submit passwords, payment-card information, confidential credentials, medical information or unrestricted links to sensitive systems. Project links should use access controls approved by your organization. Submission of a link does not authorize Meier to bypass access controls or redistribute restricted information.
Retention
General website inquiries and employment-interest records are ordinarily retained for up to four years. Information that becomes part of a bid, project, contract, accounting, safety, legal or claims record may be retained longer in accordance with Meier’s record-retention requirements, applicable limitation periods and legal obligations. Security and diagnostic records may be retained for a shorter period unless needed to investigate an incident.
Data security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we maintain, including access restrictions and established business platforms. We evaluate the information appropriate for a service and limit access based on business need. No method of transmission, processing or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
California privacy rights
Where applicable under California law, California residents may request information about personal information we collect, use and disclose; request access to or correction or deletion of certain information; and receive equal service when exercising applicable rights. Meier does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To submit a request, email privacy@meierconcrete.com or call 858-485-1800. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request when legally permitted, subject to appropriate verification. Certain information may be exempt from a request, including records we must retain for legal, contractual, security or business purposes.
Children’s privacy
This business-to-business website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website.
Telephone and text communications
Meier does not operate website text-message marketing campaigns. Providing a telephone number through this website does not enroll you in promotional text messages. Ordinary calls or one-to-one business communications may be handled through Meier’s telecommunications provider and are subject to applicable law and the provider’s services.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website, systems or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
